Hello Gang!
Chris "Trimmer" Erwin
Hello Gang!
This is the first post in the new KOPA blog site, this is the third time I have build this part of the site for reasons I won’t go into right now, but I wanted to let you all know this part of the site is up and working.
Some of you know and many of you may not know, I feel like as a group we should be thinking about developing work shops to help members that might not have a good working knowledge of how to use things like the blog area, message board, live chat..
I do know this, as a group we are not really working together as well as we could be, the observation has been made that as a group of “communicators” we aren’t communicating with each other all that well, I personally feel that much of this could be improved if we look to our members and come up with a few workshops that could help make it easier for members to use all of the tools that I have built on this site.
We have a handful of members that have joined the message board, none that had joined the blog area, they are a few reasons that could be the cause of this, one being that many of our members may not have the on-line skills to work effectively with the programs that have been developed for our members.
I know we happen to have some of the best photographers, writers, broadcasters, as well as other forms of serving the public in bring the outdoors to the living rooms of outdoor enthusiast everywhere, groups like KOPA have an obligation to improve its members when they have the chance, I hope that at lease some of you agree with me, and at our next meeting we can start to work on a plan to improve our ability to work together to make us all more marketable and skillful in our jobs.
I will be sending you all a letter very soon in spelling out some goals I feel we should at lease talked about at out next meeting.
Your comments are welcome and if you have the ability to post a comment here you might be one of the people that doesn’t need help in using the website, but if you can’t post a reply to this post because you don’t know how, then you could benefit from some on-line instructional help I am referring to.
They are many areas that could be subjects of workshops I bet you can think of a few..
Thank you,

A regular website to keep in touch is a very good idea. That way if a member has a question or a bit of news, they don’t have to wait for the next meeting or the newsletter to spread make it known.
But you do need to install the ability to edit posts, and an option to add pictures would be nice.
Hi Ron,
That is all here, you can edit post, add pictures, it’s all already here
but thanks for coming here and taking part.. I will be making some “how to”
articles on both the blog area and other programs, they will be posted in the message board area
